When you go back to visit where you spent many years of your childhood, you have to revisit the food that stood out to you from that era. This is one of those places that resonate with me... To all those that live in an area that has these restaurants, this is just another fast food burger chain...but, I live in an area without this chain and I'll always stop at one whenever I visit anyplace that has one. So many memories of dropping in to varying locations for a fresh made burger when I was a teenager in Jr High, High School and College in Albuquerque/Corrales, NM. I rarely ever ate other brands of fast food, but this chain was something I could count on to be satisfying, taste great and be made fresh. One of the best things about the locations I grew up around in the Albuquerque area was the fact that you could get your burger with New Mexico grown Hatch Green Chile...the best Green Chile ever! So...of course...when I recently visited my family in Corrales, NM (just outside Albuquerque), my first stop on the way to their house from the airport was at Blake's Lotaburger. I ordered my favorite...the classic burger I grew up eating: LOTA Burger® with Hatch Green Chile, Cheese, Double Meat (Premium Angus Beef Patty), Mustard, Onion, Lettuce...hold the Tomato & Pickles. From the first bite to the last, it didn't disappoint...absolutely delicious...just the way I remembered it...made even better with that Hatch Green Chile. Cooked to perfection, deliciously seasoned...oh, what joy! I know that they have consistency issues now and then with quality & service...you might have to wait a bit to get what you ordered...sometimes in the drive-thru because the lobby is still closed...but, be grateful that you have one where you live and can go there anytime you'd like... I'll be dropping in anytime I'm in any area that has one!
